School Overview

St Michael's School is a Catholic primary school in Berwick, within the parish of St Michael's.  We have approximately 440 students with 20 grades.

We have 3 grades in Foundation, Grade 1,2, 3, 4 and two in Grade 6. Each person in the St Michael's school community experiences positive relationships and contributes to an environment that nurtures and welcomes. We provide a stimulating educational environment which develops critical, independent learners. The experience of our community is centred on the person and teaching of Jesus where each member can find meaning and value in their life.

We offer an extensive and challenging curriculum with specialist classes held in Performing Arts, Creative Arts and Physical Education.

The children in Grades 3-6 have access to Japanese classes while our Junior children participate in Performing Arts classes. All learning areas are modern and air conditioned and are centered around the teaching and learning of students. Our grounds include hard court areas, three adventure playgrounds, three sandpits and an all-weather artificial turf oval.

We have an indoor basketball stadium with retractable seating, a 'Foundation House' which our Foundation students use exclusively and have recently completed our new Junior Learning building for our grade 1& 2 students.

We value the learning of each child and provide extra support in a wide range of areas including literacy and numeracy intervention at both ends of the learning scale.
